Can some one tell history of this train?
I mean such a slow train with lot of stops, and to a odd place. Why this sampark kranti was alloted. Why not express.

There are lots of more slower train than this train in India and for more odd places also.
This sampark kranti is a superfast train. Speed of this train is very good from Jhansi to Delhi and vice-versa. Due to single non-electrified track between Jhansi to Manikpur the speed of this train is slow and moreover very less number of train is present on this route so all trains stop many stations.

no need of new exp. train as ald jn already have paryagraj ,ucharar exp,ald drnto +lots of other trains which has halt at ald
No need to extend upto Allahabad.
Instead of extension of this train, a new bi-weekly train should run between Allahabad and Udhampur via same route upto Delhi, then Via Jind, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Pathankot, Jammu upto Udhampur.
This is a good suggestion.....and we have raised the demand for this train!!
