actually they decided to get rid of them that's it..
few years ago they said -- IR has decided to remove curtains from 3A as report said those curtains in 3A are actually prone to catch fire.. so its for pas safety..
thats absurd logic-- IR has AB1 coaches too and those has cutrains in 2A segment and no cutains in 3A segment..

If IR continue to take work on the same pattern, privatisation is inevitable. Investing in loss making projects/trains/routes on political & bureaucratic considerations will ensure that IR continue to make losses inspite of huge budgetary support extended by General exchequer every year.
chlo achha h more pax will move to airlines..comfort wise people prefer AC2 choice may differ for different group ...AC 3 is more crodwd and its like sleeper..IR must retain AC 2
AC2 are very comfortable and they should remain part of indian trains and instead dynamic pricing should be modified like airlines when ticket price can go down as well as up as per demand. basics they dont get. LOL
