But this is 10kms away from mysore is it feasible to construct a new terminal here ?
When Yesvantpur terminal started for Bengaluru, it was also same scenario. But today we can see Ypr is as good as Sbc for boarding trains. Time changes even Naganahalli will also become convenient after few years.
Yes.. 10 kms by road and 8 kms by train from Mysore. Mysore outskirts are developing crazy and the land rates are increasing. Developing a new terminal within ring road might also lead up to traffic problems. Considering futuristic demands, Naganahalli is the right place.
Considering fertile land (good for agriculture) @ Naganahalli, they should try for Ashokapuram as a new terminal....
New layouts are well developed near Ashokapuram and even there is not much space available there. Also, railways might look to expand the workshop in the coming days. Hence, not feasible.
