Sumit Pal~ 1501 blog postsDo you think 12073 should be run as a reverse to Puri Howrah Shatabdi? What I mean is that let Puri Shatabdi depart in usual time from Puri but let 12073 start from Howrah at 6.00 and arrive at BBS at 12.40 (basically reverse timings of Puri Howrah Shatabdi)

Not useful. Dhauli is there in the morning. Plus, this train runs relatively full in its current timing. People prefer it over Puri Shatabdi due to convenient timings.

If someone's timing has to change, then it is of Puri Shatabdi. The train from Howrah to Puri is not desirable, because a whole day is wasted at Puri and you have to pay full day's fare to hotel for checking in at night time. The train from Puri still gets good patronage due to early morning departure from Puri.
