After a very very long time, finally seeing this train running more or less before time/on time on all stations between Salem & YPR ( DPJ, Hosur, Carmelaram).
Stopped almost for 1 hour at BAND but still enters YPR before time. Easily its arrival time can be brought forward provided SWR looks into the same

Trains going out of YPR are given preference. Hence, incoming trains are retained at various stations in the outer.
There are lot of intra state trains terminating around that time which are obviously given preference eg Sampark kranti, Rani Chennamma exp, Solapur -YPR etc.......but one strange thing which SWR has done is allowing a stoppage of Chalukya Exp (TEN-Dadar/PDT-Dadar) for almost 2 hours at YPR. It easily occupies one platform from 4am-6:30am, which could have been used for at least couple of trains
Rani Chennamma goes to SBC. There is no special preference for intra state trains. If that was the case, then my 10 mins before time BIDR-YPR Express wouldnt have been trolled post YNK to arrive 40 mins late at YPR. We waited for 40 mins to let YPR-GKP to depart. And 12650 KSK always gets trolled at YPR. 12650 is always held up to let outgoing trains. Have a look at its running history. No idea about other KSKs.
Thanks to the new TT, atleast 12601 is running BT/on time by not allowing the overtake to happen, and the avoidance of loco change has also shown good results, and with P7 coming into play.
Still delay is there.. and no change in TT after Kannur. Still same old time at MAQ and weekly trains are overtaking before MAQ.
