Solapur will be Terminus Soon, as the construction department of CR has sanctioned new platform in the place of old Goods Yard.
Addition of this platform ensures that long distance trains will get platform immediately.
Solapur DRM office has taken this decision when they are receiving lots of complaints of detaining trains at outer.

Ha ha brother that doubling is by RVNL given by central govt to them if its under CR SUR division they could have done some urgency to finish it. But station development is with CR SUR division so they planning to that work irrespective of doubling works within their division..
Tender rolled out for Hotgi - Gadag Electrification.
I'm damn sure this section will completes it's doubling too much early than DD - GR section.

By looking at the progress of hotgi dadag doubling it like this one is only going to finish first before klbg dd doubling.
Instead can't they build a few stabling lines where space is available around SUR and stable the trains that are parked on PF 4, 5?
Or any loopline available in surrounding stations?

SUR is already having 1 stabling line at Pune end and they are planned to create another at Wadi end (Ramwadi side).
Bale is the nearest station where another stabling line there and one DEMU rake is parked there from last 3-4 months.
Only one extra platform will be created as Terminus and it will be used to accommodate DEMU and small size Pune/Miraj bound trains, so that platform 4 & 5 will be fully available for UP trains.
