Solapur will be Terminus Soon, as the construction department of CR has sanctioned new platform in the place of old Goods Yard.
Addition of this platform ensures that long distance trains will get platform immediately.
Solapur DRM office has taken this decision when they are receiving lots of complaints of detaining trains at outer.

platform 4 & 5 is used to park empty rakes of Passenger & DEMU trains.
CR ordered to make use of all the 5 platforms and addition to that new termite platform is sanctioned for Pune bound trains.
Now goods yard is demolished.
Currently there are two side lines which are used for shunting purpose and it's capacity is up to 12 Coaches.
