There is a railway line which joins the line coming from Ernakulam North Railway station. The location of Ernakulam Town (or Ernakulam North) station was different earlier. The issue is that there are about 20-25 families who have encroached upon the land. All these days/years nobody took any steps to remove them as new railway station came into being .Now suddenly with increasing congestion etc, railways want to make best use of the available land parcel, existing tracks etc. What is the outcome nobody can say but it will surely be a challenge providing these people alternate place to stay
