RailFans never grow old

In light of the PNR crisis, the following changes are coming to the site. We shall slowly completely move away from dependence on PNRs. We cannot waste any more time on this fruitless endeavour. We have NO choice in this matter. The Trip Diary is changing to a free-form "No PNR" format.

1. You need to be logged-in to Register a Trip.

2. Registering means you just say: "I am travelling in: (train number)" and the Trip gets started. The Trip appears on the Home Page.

3. Anyone else travelling in the SAME train at the SAME time shares the Trip Diary with you.

4. No Manual Updates. Your phone's GPS needs to work to register updates.

5. You will be able to share the Trip with co-passengers and ask them to join your Trip Diary.

6. Trip Diary will be integrated with Spottings.

7. The RailFan app will incorporate all the above changes.
