Kurla Kasaiwada is not a station, but a stand alone FOB helping people to cross tracks and go to other side. It was indeed demolished, and rebuilt for the sole reason of conversion of traction from DC to AC, which required more distance from OHE/W. It is in fact a brand new bridge. Only reason it may get demolished so soon is grant to CSMT-PNVL elevated route.
from the works going on at CLA, I see that the plan of additional 2 lines to CSMT is being carried out. HB lines at CLA would be at elevated level while space created below will be utilised for extending lines 5&6 from VVH towards CSMT. Already, space to lay double tracks has been created along CLA goods yard leading up to CLA. Another plan of creating 3rd line between CLA and Vadala for exclusively goods trains movement is underway.
