AvishekRay~ 3874 blog postsOn any route in IR if we compare AC Class fares (1A, 2A, 3A, EC, CC etc) with Non-AC Class fares (SL, 2S, GS etc), we will see that the difference is huge, average AC fare is 5-6 times higher than average Non-AC fare. If we take Premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto etc into consideration, this ratio then goes up to 7-8 times.
So what do you think, AC fares are overpriced or Non-AC fares are underpriced?

You can see this huge price gap in several day trains... E.g. in Ganadevata exp, fare to bhp from hwh is rs 80 in 2S, whereas rs 350 in CC...
