With the introduction of a biweekly passenger between Belagavi and Vasco, the railways have acceeded the demand of travelling public in and around Belagavi for a direct link to Vasco. However, it should have been made a daily rather than biweekly (railway may consider this at a later stage). Now, they can add one or two sleeper coaches to Rani Chennamma on thursdays and fridays from SBC to be detached at LD and to be attached to Belagavi Vasco passenger, as it will provide a direct link from SBC to Vasco.
First and foremost Pit lanes have to be done in Belagavi. If this is done then they can start more trains. The biggest issue is Pit lanes, stabbling lanes etc are required to be done in and around Belagavi. Once this is done then they can start more long distance trains like Bengaluru, Mangaluru etc. The special train from BLR -- BGM goes to hubbali and comes back again to BGM in the night for maintenance etc .
