SagarJambagaru~ 375 blog postsI travelled in this train on 23rd October 2021 from SBC to SRF. I was allotted berth in S4 coach under SS quota. I could not sleep through out the night as there was too much jerk. Next day in my return journey(same train will return next day} I was allotted berth in S3 coach and the journey was very comfortable as there was no jerk. There seems to be some problem in S4 coach.
As this train has RSA with other trains, it is difficult to calculate and tell when the same coaches will go to Talaguppa. I should have noted down the bogie number written on the bogie for easy identification.
Even though there are not many trains which have official halt in this station 90% of trains coming from Mysuru side halt here due to non availability of platforms at SBC .Be extremely careful while alighting at this station post evening as this station is located in a slum area and is extremely dangerous to go at nights(you will get robbed at night for sure). The main road (Mysore road) is around 500m away from the station premises and nearest metro station mysore road metro station is 1.5 KMs away.Don't alight here at whatever time if travelling with family. Advisable to alight at Kengeri or SBC.If travelling with family

A very good piece of advise and a useful tip for those who alight at Nayandahalli in odd hours accompanied by family.

Why doesn't this train not stop at Jokatte (Mangaluru airport)
It would be of some help for Mangalureans

How is the city bus connectivity to Jokatte Railway Station from Mangaluru Main Bus Stand (SBI or Hampanakatta). I had suggested for a stop at Padil for this train. But, if the bus facility is good at Jokatte, I welcome it. Anyhow, one stop is required in Mangaluru area which is convenient for lot of Mangalurians travelling to State capital.

First run hence occupancy may be less. I am sure, in the coming days the occupancy will improve and it will not be a surprise if SL class will reach WL especially on Fridays from YPR and Sunday night from Vasco as techies will spend their week ends at Vasco and return to work on Monday mornings.

As per earlier TT, this train was suppose to touch both Mangaluru Junction and Mangaluru Central (in its return journey from Karwar to YPR). But, yesterday somebody has posted a news item which says it will not go to Junction and Central Rly stns. Today,I saw its TT which shows that it is skipping both these stations. Of course to maintain its arrival at YPR, some hard decisions were required. As it is a late night departure train, a stop atleast at Padil would have been useful, as commuters from MAQ will have to come to Suratkal or go to Bantwal to board this train.

This train is not a 9 coacher train now. They have added 5-6 coaches (SL) to accommodate passengers who were earlier going by SBC-KWR express. Still, the number of coaches is less. They should make this train either 20 or 22 coacher.
