Was wondering isnt the real challenge availability of pf at SBC. I guess for trains coming from BNC side , there are only 5 PF where they can be received. Dont think pf 7-8,9 are accessible. Probably if that aspect can be changed, maybe i feel train detention before SBC can be reduced . But neverthless good initiate to start of
BNC side actually should not have any problems as there are 7 platforms to receive. Major problem is from YPR side as it has only 3 platforms to receive. This needs to be addressed first.
Thanks for the info. And what about trains coming from Mysuru .....Do they have access to all PF of SBC?. Also another issue that i have notice is that pass through trains sometimes end up waiting for too long occupying pf for engine reversal or engine change. Trains like MYS-Mayiludatarai, arrives on time at SBC but halts almost every day for 1 hour (not sure of the reason)....leading to cascading delay effect on all other trains between SBC-HSRA. Same is the case with 11013-11014. I feel pass through trains should be relatively easier to receive and dispatch as compared to terminating trains which occupy pf for long
