* A lot of attention has been given on the cleanliness of Rly Stns throughout IR network and results are encouraging. Cleanliness of Rly Stns has very much improved in the last 10-15 years.
* Now there is need to look beyond the station premises and conduct traffic/business studies of important Rly stations (atleast 10% of total Rly Stns) to assess that is it convenient for public to reach station, does station has enough trains to serve the transportation, demand of city, how does trains fare as compared to other road/air transport option for the city etc. Accordingly the development plans of Stns, expansion of Rly services (more trains, doublings, new lines etc) need to be made for future
