May_I_have_your_atte~ 2863 blog postsEarning, expense, profit/loss and profit/loss% of various zones of IR. Other than 6 zones (ECoR, SECR, SER, NCR, WCR, SCR), rest all zones are now loss making. The profit/loss% is directly proportional to the operating ratio of the zone

In SER there is a huge demand for passenger trains ( Mail/ Express/ EMU/ passenger trains) all over KGP, ADRA, CKP, RNC Division but you will not see SER starting unnecessarily too many trains in a hurry....each train given as per requirements only so although there is huge demand trains are increased by a calculated way......also freight is given importance.......but in zones like ER, SR, NR too many passenger trains many of them actually not required and large no of EMU in Sealdah, Howrah div , in Sealdah div demand vs ticket sales is a gap there i think so....many ticketless travellers there in Sealdah div.
