all types of concessions should be there, senior citizen, child, youth, middle age, females, castes, minorities, physically unfit physically fit, like welfare state
a perfect and talented railway minister is the need of hour. they are not concentrating on what all required to give more safety for passengers.
In January last year IR planned to provide concession for the poor through the use of unique identification (UID) numbers being rolled out in the country. Agreed that UID could be an option but to quote the same paper on targeting BPL: ''The Railways also has to devise a mechanism to identify BPL people as UID card does not contain information on salary of a person, which defines his BPL status.
We are talking to other departments of the government to ascertain what could be done to easily identify BPL people. One way is to put a sign like a flag on the card of BPL persons. Different ideas are being floated,” the official said.''
