Agree. But the real challenge is getting prime slots in these sectors. Heard that Bengaluru-Chennai is being considered as one of the sectors. It would only work provided the slots are good. In any case lots of trains run in this route at various points of the day
Correct you said...there is a risk on this Pvt train scheme for IR...If IR gives prime slots and routes to pvt trains then IR can loose more revenue...... on the other hand if pvt trains don't get good slots and TT and with flexi-fare with no concessions then pax will not travel in them except in peak Festival seasons. Then this scheme will be a flop show and pvt companies will backup from it slowly slowly...
Definitely they will choose to run between metro's Bluru-Chennai, Chennai-Hyd, Bluru-Hyd, etc. It will be tricky to plan with existing trains and infrastructure.
There plan will be interesting, how pvt investors will proceed.
Yes it will be very interesting to see how pvt investors will proceed...
1. In land there will be Road transport which is cheaper in many cases than trains.
2. There will be IR trains with no flexi-fare like normal Express, mail, superfast
passenger trains.
