People were sceptical even before the introduction of Computer in India, labour unions were arguing that it would take their jobs. Now we can't even think of our life without Computer. Whenever a new thing is done, people always have certain doubts about it but in a longer run, bold decisions always pay off.
* Private trains may lead to reduction of train fares due to competition, just as happened with air fares.
* To achieve full benefits of and to make privatisation feasible , a complete package needs to be given to private companies including laying of rail routes/stations, operating trains, marketing of trains, development of commercial spaces in and around stations, development of smart colonies/cities along the rail route.
* Again above is practically very difficult, the biggest hurdle being land acquisition.

* Regarding the so called apprehension that the existing railway employees will lose their jobs if private trains are introduced, such apprehensions are mostly generated, propagated and sustained by their leaders, who care for their vested interests rather than the actual welfare of the employees.
* Dedicated employees pay attention to fulfilling targets given in their jobs and are confident of their skills & utility to the organisation rather than having negative thoughts.
