There is a big scam going in indian #railways,there is an #irctc policy for catering in #railways ,is of NO Bill No PAY ,which completely says clearly ,if you are not provided bill ,you do not pay,
How do you execute this scam,the vendors employed by #irctc are paid on commission basis ,suppose the veg sandwich cost Rs 30 according to the menu ,they are selling for Rs45 ,now in this every body is getting benefitted,the vendor gets Rs 1.50 extra per transaction,the rest illegay money goes to the franchise,in my case J.Ghosh.in #puri #dhauli express,that too ,unaccounted,black money ,generated every day,taking customer for a ride.

I will add: Selling local branded Mineral waters in Express trains is another SCAM going on in IRCTC. There are raids done by IR officers but i think what they seize is only 4 to 5 % of scam money.
Another SCAM in IRCTC which i have seen many times in Asansol, Durgapur , Kharagpur stations is in Rajdhani , Duronto, Shatabdi exp many passengers dont eat Ice cream or Dahi allocated to them after dinner at night or in lunch.....these IRCTC staffs sell those Dahi , Ice creams to Stalls at stations which are from there sold at other places or in other trains also. That means for 1 Dahi say these IRCTC charge IR 2 times in...

Have also heard that there are a standard set of contractors who mostly seem to bag contracts in most of the trains , few names that come to mind RK, Ambuj, Arenco, Ghosh etc.....
Not very sure how far it is true though ?? In some cases the same person bags contract through some other entity name. Since the penalty and blacklisting process is not that stringent most of the time they are able to get away easily

Local vendors if they want they can sell at 4 also. I had tea at Belgharia station few weeks back at ₹4 from a normal vendor. Be it IRCTC Vendor they will charge as per IRCTC rates of ₹10.
No there is the problem lies IRCTC price chart says for Standard tea without tea bag at train or station price is Rs. 5 only but IRCTC stalls charges Rs 10 for all. Please refer IRCTC price chart . I cannot upload it is quiet big not getting upload....i will later also.
I also heard this many times ....these contractors pay huge money as bribery to get contracts....and 1 contractor has several other named companies who gets different train contracts with name of different agencies..... if anything wrong happens they easily get out free without strict punishment and for all these they have to pay good huge amounts of money to get contracts and get free in case of any complaints easily......This is 1 reason you see quality of food in trains is detriorating day by day and after huge number of complaints everyday no strict action taken against private contractors. Even in many cases these contractors gets advance news about any raid that is going to happen by IR officers if the amount of bribes is given high to its bosses beforehand.
