Sir, more than 2000 trees were cut, and then SC imposed stay on further tree cutting. Few weeks later even that stay was lifted. Sir, if this metro line begins working, it will save so many carbon credits, the HC and finally SC had to agree. These trees cut already will represent many millions man hours saved everyday, savings in fuel costs, resulting in reduced in oil imports, and generation of greenfield gases. This project needs to be commissioned ASAP.
There is already a rumor making rounds that the Metro shed land was actually promised to some prominent real estate developer(s) which was unknown to the then state ruling party (not present ruling party).
