In my opinion all WAM-4 s should transfer for newly electrifying stations for immediate run of E-Locos instead scrapping them. THEY ARE THE BEST OF BEST IN OUR INDIAN RAILWAYS FOREVER.WAPs are trash and some time they dead on route very easily. i saw so wany WAP-7 and WAP-4 dead locos rescued by other locos. but not WAM's

When we are getting three phase technology than why to produce new WAM4, also Most of the WAM4 are decommissioned and most of them are scrapped. Even WAP4, WAG7 production ceased. Railways are now concentrating in production of P5,P7 and G9.
