There are cases where a single WDG-3A has hauled 24 coaches.

A single WDG3A can haul about 5400 tons at 60kmph on level tracks - that is equivalent to about 100 passenger coaches.
It is a freight loco, so it's load hauling capacity is much higher than passenger locos.
But it won't be able to maintain express schedules with such loads as it's acceleration reduces quickly at higher speeds.
