Always Mangalore central has issues with introduction of new train, especially to Karnataka areas. By extending existing train through MAQ, this problem can also get addressed.

Then the feasible route would be Kacheguda-Ballari-Hubballi-Madgoan-Majn-Nagercoil,Good route but needs speedup
If to KCG, Multi zonal issues will arise as KR and SCR will be involved. Upto Ballari or even to Bijapur, only SR and SWR need to agree.
Big hurdle would be from SR. They should be willing to run their train to KR and SWR. Not an easy task.
In your suggested route, biweekly KCG MAQ can be tried.
