Some people claim Double Decker coaches are rusting at the Rail museum siding of Howrah.
ЁЯТа Seen here, Double Decker coaches coming out of workshop after their scheduled overhauling. Rake of Vikramshila Exp was kept in reception line to get into workshop for POH.

First it needs to be made sure that the PFs are not hitting the Coaches
Yes I feel the same, but however I haven't found any route in the last 7 years (I travelled in the train in 2012 and was heartbroken to see the empty coaches) where this train may make profit.
As of now since Yuva express is eliminated , it can be tried in HWH - NJP route . The TT should be the counterpart of NJP Shatabdi i.e. , leaving HWH at morning & returning by night. Only the thing is , Railway has to work it out properly in that way
Don't know what was wrong with this type of trains
Indore bpl dd too failed miserably
I travelled once in indore bhopal dd and it was empty throughout the journey though these were major intercity hub with huge potential
