These facilities will improve the line capacity for simultaneous Reception and Dispatch of trains from Chennai and Mumbai side via Baiyyappanahalli, Hubballi end via Banswadi and Bengaluru end via Baiyyappanahalli West Cabin.

The cost of completion of the third coaching terminal at Baiyyappanahalli including Civil Engineering, Signal & Telecommunication, Electrical works out to approximately Rs.240 Cr.

All running lines are provided Starter, Calling on & Shunt signals to facilitate flexibility in operation. Yard Electrified with 25KV Electrification. Section btw Baiyyappanahalli Yard cabin & main BPYL (RouteRelayInterlocking) MainLine has been commissioned with double track

Baiyyappanahalli station is provided with state of the art system of Electronic Interlocking. This system has numerous advantages over conventional Relay Based Interlocking

The entire operations of the yard will be carried out from a Central Cabin. The Station Master will be operating the Signaling System through a VDU (Visual Display Units) with the help of a mouse. By way of maximum possible signaled movements

this yard will be the biggest Yard of South Western Railway with 549 routes Hosapete Yard which was recently commissioned with 415 routes is second biggest yard after third coaching terminal at Baiyyappanahalli

the trains to be shifted to TCTB can avoid going to Chennai Main Line thereby making the traffic flow smooth
Yaa it might not be too much useful for now, but it will be much more useful for Sub urban railway

MAS-SNSI and Vivek already go via KJM-CSDR-YNK and MAS-SSPN can be made to do the same.
Kurla express (daily) and Kongu (weekly) will be the only trains to use such a bypass now. For suburban trains too, it will be more likely to run trains as BYPL-YPR and YPR-YNK than BYPL-LOGH-YNK.
An easier method to avoid crossing over the MAS mainline would be to convert the BYPL platform line into a third line between TCTB and CSDR. Trains between TCTB and YNK can use this as a dedicated line and avoid the SBC-MAS

There are restrictions on how sharp a curve can be. I believe the minimum radius of a turn for BG coaches is around 175m, though I can't recollect the exact number.

Yes agree. Not sure why Hebbal was added. Only things that i see is Hebbal is relatively close to a junction from where passengers can have connectivity to other places. As compared to BAND it is closer to ORR
