One can reap the benefits only if SWR operates train from airport station/ Devanahalli to Bangalore local stations as well as to bigger cities like Mysore, Tumkur, Hassan, Davanagere, Shivamogga. People from these towns use Bangalore airport for their air travel.
Even one can think of trains to important stations in neighbouring states like Tirupati, Salem, Hosur, Anantapur.

Even if they start hourly local train to Devanahalli station from Ksr or Ypr stations, people can catch it from intermediate stations and that can bring big relief to traffic jams on roads.
Actually, there should be some out of the box ideas to decongest SBC, YPR, Majestic areas.
If everyone has to come to Majestic, you are bringing people who do not have anything to do in the area other than catching train or bus/ alighting. It will add to congestion only.
It would be better if people from other cities are traveling to airport without changing in majestic or YPR.
