For IR the lockdown seems to have been a mixed blessing. Officials have claimed that the sparse traffic has enabled them to undertake maintenance functions on tracks, which would have otherwise taken 2 years to do. If this be true, the results should ideally be reflected in a lower accident rate in the coming years after restoration of normalcy. After all, the proof of the pudding lies in the eating.

Yes Sir, connectivity to newer places ( especially NE) is great to see something which was missed earlier .What people might be eagerly looking forward to is implementation of zero based TT. From all the specials that are running now most of them are still having the same stops and running time. Will have to wait and watch how things turn out considering that removal of stoppages can always be controversil and public and political pressure might always come in
