There is already a station called Sabarmati Junction in the IRI database listed just one km away. Are there really two stations of the exact same name on ground?
The closest analogue I can think of is Lucknow where LKO and LJN are situated next to each other with virtually the same name.

Originally there were 2 different stations. SBI was the Station on ADI RJT route having BG connectivity. The other station was on the MG track of ADI to MSH, which later on become SBIB.
Now SBIB (the erstwhile MG track station) is being converted into a Terminal Station for North bound Trains from ADI and eventually load will be shifted. Old SBI has been now merged into SBIB. The physical distance between 2 stations is around 600-700 meters for which direct access bridges are planned.

I see. So this WAS a meter gauge station that is currently unused and is in the process of being converted to Broad Gauge? Also, were the two BG and MG stations right next to each other?
The station is in use for direct BG line to Delhi/Jaipur after gauge conversion from MG to BG from some 12-13 years back. In fact till 3Y ago, the MG line from ADI to MSH was functional.
