I think they have a plan for electrifying NCB to Rangiya then Rangiya to Guwahati.

All sections via Rangiya till Digaru line's deadline is April 2021
Rangiya Junction and Goalpara Town two must be next target . Both side electrification is now on full swing. By April Kamakhya will be electrified. I will be there that time. I hope to see Kamakhya under wire
