MJY was taken as MAJRI which can be ignored!!
For SC-DNR, attachment may happen at GDYA & detached at BZU as it got stoppage there!! Ganga-Kaveri, YPR-LKO via KCG got stoppage @ BZU & hence it make sense to use this commercial stop to address technical feasibility meant at next station!!

The bankers are then sent back light or attached to a freight .
This process blocks mainline for good 30 minutes by a freight , so is that feasible ?

May attach M/E/Freight if instantly available or return light!! I guess no LHB M/E use banker as they hardly stop for 2 mins at BZU/GDYA & cover BZU-GDYA in 35 Mins (37 Kms) (Maybe MAS-CPR Ganga Kaveri Does with 14/4 Mins Halt ex BZU)!!
Freight cant block mainline as Attachment will happen only if Freight awaits Preceding Freight Bankers Attachment Clearance at MRY (Provided Bankers available at BZU)!! Bankers attached until MRY Clearance commissioned which is feasible!! Further, No Arriving train will be blocked for banker movement and if any such train exists which has to be banked at MRY with get Banked at BZU!! Its better to attach banker to Freight/M/E if available rather than making Freight/Train pass & await trailing

Banker arrive and then attach at MRY!! Just imagine DNR-SC halts MJY (Technically) to detach Braker & again halts BZU (Commercially) to block Mainline twice!!

Actually don't need to imagine , many trains halt at GDYA , DHQ(tech) MJY(tech) BZU all together .I came across This banker thing first time around dec jan and from then I am regularly observing this .

Doesn't attachment of bankers take time ?
First it has to detach from the m exp it came with , then , shunting and then attachment and this process took around 30 minutes and the freight was already standing from the past 15 mins

If most halt DHQ/MJY then its rare for train banked till BZU & if happens, Banker must return instantly citing parking issue at BZU!!
Freight will not stop for banker but signal clearance coz Freight Block at MRY (but at Loop not Mainline). Detached banker could be held for a while instead of trolling clashing schedule of M/E/Freight (too rare although) & can be attached citing Signal Clearance!!
GDYA-BZU, 37 Kms: 02591-40 Mins, 02589-49 Mins, 02645-52 Mins, 01046-43 Mins, 06094-43 Mins, 02616-36 Mins

There is no much difference in Elevation & Depression run time & if any train get Banker Attach/Detach, it must add 40-50 Mins of Banker Attach-Detach (as per your logic) but none displayed this huge Banker TAT in run-time!!
