Not a good news. To mitigate the problems of Kalaburagi and surrounding areas, suggest following realignments of divisions/ zones:
1. Transfer Wadi to Kalaburagi to SCR GTL/ SC division.
2. Transfer Hotgi outer to Kalabuargi to SWR UBL division.

division has more than 950 kms under it's control. If the referred areas are transferred, still it will have more than 650 kms.
Advantages include Hubli to Kalaburagi in single division, Bangalore to Bidar / Kalaburagi under 2 zones instead of 3 zones. Karnataka is relieved of one zone (CR), thereby reducing the number to 4 (SR, SCR, SWR KR).
Possibilities of intra state trains from Mangalore to Bidar increase due to lesser zonal coordination issues.
