There is a huge passenger coaches shortage in SER, be it SL, AC, GS Coaches or even EMU, MEMU Coaches. But still SER is not at all receiving new coaches from ICF, RCF, MCF. Between 1st Jan 2021 till date 1st May 2021 following coaches are received by SER :
1. ICF - 0 Coaches
2. RCF - 41 ( LVPHX - goods carrying ), 4 ( LSLRD)

If you ask me i will say that Ex-GM SER now RB Member Mr. S.K.Mohanty had hugely neglected SER Passenger section and highly focussed on Freight business. Last year in one of my post i had little raised this point. I am personally happy that SER will get a new dedicated GM soon and hope he/she will focus equally on Freight and passenger services of SER.

Coaches alloted to a zone in a fiscal year is calculated as total allotment and a allotment of 200 coaches is not less.Also 110 is too less DNR division alone has condemned 100 coaches in 20-21.Shortage of coaches in SER,SECR ,ECR is also due to less poh facilities according to requirement.The main focus of production units is on allotments to WR ,NWR ,Nfr etc.
Based on total number of coaches, don't compare between ECR and SER. ECR has more than 2 times more number of coaches than SER has. SER condemns 110 coaches and ECR condemns 100 coaches are not same and cannot be compared.
Read again.The data is only of DNR division adding no of coaches condemned and sended for NMG coaches by SPJ,SEE,DHN and DDU it will cross 250+.Also from March 2018 to Oct 2020 646 coaches were condemned by ECR.It is not two times holding is 2449 (ICF)as of October 2020.
