Not sure which blog you are referring to, but Vinay jee is indeed one of the most knowledgeable members of this site :)
Funnily enough the other member you referred to, DSP Anirudh is also the same. Their knowledge of more difficult to find parts of IR, especially the numerous, and often obscure branch lines is second to none; tech stuff is easy to find (I am an electrical engg myself, so i understand and know most things on technical side anyways) but details about branch lines, railway operations, old trains etc is difficult to find and both of them excel in that.
