Once Panki-Mandhana track will be formed, what will be the future of Kanpur Anwarganj station, will it be
1) Abandoned like CHTS, Howbagh
2) Will become a terminal station for the Lucknow/Prayagraj bound trains
3) Will become a place of Washing/Pit lines and stabling lines.

As per what I read, current Anwarganj-Mandhana line goes parallel to GT Road causing traffic jams due to crossing. ROB/RUB can't be made due to different challenges, hence the diversion is only viable option.
Why will it b abonded ?
