Hi All,
I have a generic question, anyone from Bhagalpur can answer it please.
While going through the map of BGP station, just after the BGP yard, there is a line bifurcating to north towards the Ganga river and then vanishes from the map after some distance.

had visions. but IocaIs created problems. in 1994 RB, BGP - KGG Iine was proposed. But it needed some eviction of buildings in BGP -BARR section as we as in THB-MGP sections. IocaIs opposed the project fearing Iand grab by Iand mafia(which was rampant in Bihar from 1980-2000).
Actually IR doesn't want to revive this like then belonged to NER.
However the land at Baraari Ghat was planned for DRM office which also got cancelled.

Land was already there. Just MG to BG conversion was required along with rail cum road bridge. Locals didn't oppose road bridge. So why will they for road cum rail? You might be talking abt different alignment of bgp-kgg line.
