again no train number for a special in official newspaper announcement...
Also great timings for a special. Leaves howrah at 4.30 am, arrives howrah at 1am and you can hardly expect any public transport in kolkata at 3-4am. This is an unreserved train. So the passengers will have to shell out more money in reaching howrah station as compared to the train journey...

yes sir, i have been noticing this since last few days. No train numbers for fully unreserved trains!!! but then a train cannot run without a number. For operational reasons, its all train numbers...i have many a times seen personnel at hwh enquiry jot down train running status just with numbers...for eg.12308 liluah, 13072 bally, 13024 hwh outer and so on...so train numbers are a must...also in the register maintained abt train arrival and deprature,its all numbers...
Yes, strangely, even now there is official PR abt specials b/w SBC and GHY/HWH,/news/post/90706
however no TT and no train numbers.So its possible..that Rlys might have some new mechanism to operate UR trains. Similar was case with RJT-DWK specials operated during Janamashtmi.
