** Narmada express takes 21:30 hrs for 1006 km long run between Indore & Bilaspur (via Itarsi-Katni). With extension to Durg, it will take about 24 hours for the 1150 km journey.
** The weekly Indore-Puri humsafar does just 872 kms long Indore-Nagpur-Durg in only 14:30 hours.
** No body would like to travel from Durg/Raipur to Indore/Bhopal by the extended Narmada. However the train is likely to get good number of passengers for 750 kms leg from Durg-Raipur section to Bilaspur-Katni-Itarsi section.
