It is pity that train leaving SUR at 1920 overtake this super crawler which starts at 1600 at SUR. Does this mean that you can save 3-1/2 hours? Does this mean that this train is intentionally given a odd TT?

😂😂😂
I traveled in this train some days ago.
Left Pune 1 hour late, left Daund 1.5 hours late- was 20 minutes before time at Wadi 😂
The whole journey between Pune and Bengaluru was about Late Running- Before Time running due to slack- controlling train at outer due to before time running- late running due to excessive control (repeat).
Was regulated at KSR Bengaluru

outer for 25 minutes in order to reach 4 minute late in a relatively empty station. Multiple platforms are empty.
This train is the ultimate snooze fest.

Mumbai Chennai trains take 9.5-10 hours to cover Mumbai to Guntakal. Mumbai Bangalore trains take 11.15 hours. Straight 1-1/2 hours extra.
Guntakal to Bangalore, you can save cool 4 hours. So 5-1/2 hours can be saved. Atleast 5 hours.
What is the point of doubling electrification etc if journey time is not reduced?

How much factor does availability of platform, stabling lines, space at pit lines matter while deciding speeding up ? In the context of Udayan , will the early arrival lead to other issues like blocking of platform, non availability of pf, too may trains arriving at peak hours in SBC hence SWR unwilling to prioritise this train and so on !! Its a valid point tha even after doubling, electrification, speed upgrade etc, hardly any difference is there in overall TT

If SWR takes over Udyan, it can reach Bangalore by 0530 cool. Then for avoiding rake idling at Mumbai, they can have RSA with current DR UBL with slight tweak of both trains.
Something like SBC DEP 2230; SUR 1030 CSTM 1815. Return: CSTM DEP 2100, UBL 1000, SBC 1730.
Another rake SBC DEP 0900, UBL 1615, CSTM 0530.
Return: CSTM DEP
...
0830, SUR 1630, SBC 0530.
By this way, we can get 2 good trains one in the morning and another in evening from both ends.
