This should be run via UBL GDG BJP SUR DD, instead of via Belgaum Miraj. This train is called Karnataka Sampark Kranti. So it should link more Karnataka areas to Delhi.
There is no loss to Belgaum Miraj Pune passengers as daily Goa express and biweekly YPR NZM are there.
Via BJP route is shorter by around 85 kms.

Don't you think it's more of concern of SWR ?
Except Karnataka Express
Many trains from Bengaluru towards Delhi are heavily dependent on one or other Intermediate Station.
Bengaluru Rajdhani (has GNWL Quota for Secunderabad), YPR DEE Duronto depends heavily on Secunderabad in terms of patronage.
KSK
...
via Nagpur, had a decent patronage before but nowadays Hubballi, Guntakal and Kacheguda are all the more important due to reasons we know
Both KSK via Bhusawal and even Mysuru Swarna Jayanti Express are dependent on Pune for all year round patronage.
/blog/post/2314766 during this trip my AC 2 Coach was totally empty and so were 2 AC 3 Tier Coaches. I didn't even had a look at Sleeper but could see huge availablity while booking. I had kept my Suitcases on Lower Berths and my food packages on Upper Berth 😂
Whether it's due to route or due to slack or due to distance, SWR has been dependent upon Secunderabad and Pune for patronage.
Feel free to divert them all. As I told you we have options.
CR doesn't care for Pune or Solapur that's not SWR's Problem. That'd be an issue of Maharashtra and CR only, both dedicated trains of Delhi from Pune are owned by NR.
Kolhapur Weekly is there for symbolic reasons, not a well maintained train. Seen it twice.
Issue that arises is- if you divert Chandigarh KSK Via Gadag. What will be it's use to Chandigarh or Ambala ?? Do you think there's enough traffic ??
If yes then go ahead. This was the question which started the whole debate.

Except Kochi (Ernakulam) and Southern State Capitals (Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad)
Name the cities in these Five States which have a Daily Dedicated Direct Train to Delhi ???
If there's demand then surely trains would run full.
Patna Mumbai Suvidha has INSANE Ticket prices, simply INSANE but it's running with decent patronage and still exists due to high demand, will you be
...

able to vouch for same sort of demand from Karnataka ??
Almost every major district of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have a Dedicated Daily Direct Train to Delhi. And they're not running empty.
Whereas I can get tickets easily in KSK towards Bengaluru in normal times. I don't have to plan in advance for months. Same CANNOT be said for the same KSK when it goes from Pune to Nizamuddin or Chandigarh.
Cities of Karnataka deserve trains to Delhi but even SWR realises importance of Intermediate Stations. Pune or Secunderabad can survive without SWR trains, question is will SWR trains be able to survive all year round ?? As due to your proposed diversions you can count Bengaluru out especially on Lean Periods. The only train through shortest routes are Duronto and Rajdhani and even they're not exactly on shortest. All other Super Fast trains have already been diverted through longer and longer routes in the name of Welfare.

Justification for a train between Pune Delhi is acceptable. But do you have any justification for SWR not running a weekly/ biweekly via Bijapur?

Bro, you missed the point entirely.
It wasn't about justification for Pune Delhi Route, my whole point was about justification for dependency of Delhi bound SWR Trains on Secunderabad and Pune.
Same justification applies to your proposed route as well, at least for a time when these trains were introduced.
First of all getting slots at Delhi is a herculean task and getting slots
...
in single line section of CR is a headache.
Secondly even if you DO manage to get the slots, SWR itself knows terminal has to be Bengaluru as even after being a Zonal Headquarter Hubballi doesn't have that much of demand for Delhi to justify a Bi weekly without involving Metropolitan Cities like Pune or Secunderabad on the route.
Bengaluru is out of picture for Normal Superfast Trains Patronage as none of them are via shortest route. Unless and until someone has emergency, people won't prefer KSK's that easily from Bengaluru.
For the same reason KSK was diverted via Hubballi instead of starting a new train from there.
Even now getting seats in KSK Via Bhusawal is easy enough between Pune and Bengaluru which won't be a case had the demand from Hubballi that strong enough.
So your intentions are completely valid, problem is the demand wasn't enough when these trains were introduced. Nowadays they could divert it and they should at least one of them.
My point is- Chandigarh waali shouldn't get diverted as there won't be any justification for Chandigarh and Ambala to go through a longer route to Bengaluru plus there's not much demand for diverted Gadag route from there.

I've justified everything in my posts.
I can't repeat the same thing again.
