Friends, i have a question. I need to book a ticket from Bangalore to Pune. The current status is WL. If I book the ticket from Hosur to Pune, there are some 50 odd seats available.
Question: If I book the ticket from Hosur and then board at Bangalore - will my seat be allocated to someone else as "no show" or how many stations / time the TTE should wait before alloting the seat to someone else?
I am not able to book a ticket with Boarding point as SBC online....

This works for some trains and doesnt for some. In this case, if you read my post, i have said, when changing boarding point, it takes quote from SBC and makes it WL.

Today I booked from MTP to MAS in 12672 and gave BP as CBE, but then it took quota for CBE-MAS only not MTP-MAS..
Book ticket from Hosur and Pune and then change the boarding point through a PRS counter after 24 hours.
