Few trains already converted from Duronto to Humsafar.

Yes time will tell. Extensive privatization also might halt, can't say.
Railways has introduced so many train types that they themselves can't get get out of this entangled web they have created. I still hold to the principle that most trains can be eschewed under the twin banners of Express and AC respectively and most rest are just gimmicks[with notable exception of Shatabdi and Rajdhani].
