Why did they scrap Chennai-Mumbai mail? It was a lovely train and we could enjoy the best of the Indian countryside.
Who told you it's been scrapped? It will run now till Chennai Egmore instead of Chennai Central with rake sharing arrangement with Chennai Egmore - Salem express
FYI it has been scrapped and replaced with an express train covering the distance in 23:30 hrs instead of 28 hrs for the Mail.
It's called "Speed Up", not "Scrapping" 😂
Learn the difference buddy 😂.
It was impending as the route has been heavily developed especially in last few years and these trains required the much needed upgrade.
Every speed up doesn't mean the original train ceases to exist.

It leaves at 630 in MAS and travels all through day through Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka country side on both sides through board daylight.
