These areas got a lot of benefit from Kisan Rail
Pomegranate, Grapes, Lemon, Capsicum, Musk Melon, Guava, Sitaphal, Ber (Indian plum) from Solapur region, Flowers from Latur and Osmanabad region, Onion from Nashik region, Banana from Bhusaval and Jalgaon region, Oranges from Nagpur region and others Commodities reach far and wide markets like Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal quickly and freshly through Kisan Rail.
Both farmers and consumers are benefiting from this reach. Due to direct access of these agricultural products in big markets, farmers are getting good money. The transportation cost is less by Kisan Rail as compared to trucks. Their produce has a good price, quick transportation and minimum wastage.
50% subsidy to farmers
The government has expanded Operation Green from Tomato, Onion and Potato to all other fruits and vegetables (TOTAL) under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
