indian railways charges Rs.25 as bedding charges for ac class(ifare nclusive in all sleeping class of m/e and exclusive in garibrath). now how come 2 bedsheets, 1 pillow cover, 1 hand towel be washed, ironed and then packed in 25 rs.? also add to it the maintainance charges and replacememnt costs of some old/mutilated/torn/STOLEN towels+/-bedsheets&pillow covers? leave apart the blankets but are the linen even washed?

In case of Mandovi/Konkan Kanya I was told by the attendent that Konkan Kanya and Mandovi have separate set of linens, when Konkan Kanya arrives at CST the linen goes for washing and the linen of previous days Mandvi, washed overnight is used for Mandovi etc etc
beddings are stacked in huge budles and that too in a fashion that shows it will be washed for sure. i am sure that linens are washed after each completion of journey.
Yeah, there is a huge Linen room in CST near platform 13 next to the waiting room...that acts as a control room for the linen
