sanghimangi 580 blog postsThis train should start from Salem, then only it will be really helpful for north indian people working in textiles in the area around Erode, Tiruppur etc., It does not affect timing of trains also.
Trains usually start from bigger cities, then if need is felt either due to operational reasons(like station over-loaded) or passengers demand, they r extended to.This does not imply that Salem is not big city, but CBE is counted amongst 2nd or 3rd metro of TN after Chennai and Madurai.
Labours working in TUP and ED will not prefer AC express. Moreover they are from Orissa, Bengal.
I agree with you sir. Meantime, several Gujju people are staying in Salem through Coimbatore for textile business and all the way they have to go to Coimbatore to catch this. The number of people going to Ahemedabad from Coimbatore airport will tell the complete story about the demand. My intention is that, atleast train can serve these people in a better manner than the flights. Comparatively AC trains are cheaper than flights. I hope if this train starting from Salem, that station can easily manage it. After all it is a divisional head. Only one express train is starting from this station is a shame. Salem should accommodate this AC express train also.
