Yes.. Similarly 06039- TEN-MYS express takes 2 hours and 30 minutes from TEN-TVC (143 Km), whereas return 06040 MYS-TEN takes 5 hours and 5 minutes for the same 143 km..:)
I think they have calculated by walk , as passengers have to push a train on track 😜😜

Railways have given such TT so that candidates don't blame it on railways for missing exam if the trains runs late...beforehand they have given extra time to these specials to allow for OT by regular pax and freight trains and maintenance works. In past candidates from UP/ bihar have damaged rail property citing the delay of exam specials

They should have run as a SBC to TEN via MYS, MAJN, CLT, ERS, TVC. Would have served as a different route and link.
Even horrible route is BGM MAQ via UBL ASK KJM SA SRR!!.

This is basically and examination spl and the exam is on 9th & 10th (Mon-Tues). Probably enroute they must have given lot of allowance for overtakes by other regular trains on the routes.Train arrives Mys late. But yes you are right, SWR could have ensured a TT which would have menat a little earlier arrival at MYS so that these outstation candidates can at least find accommodation ovenite !!
