dipanshu~ 1474 blog postsThis post of mine is going to fetch me a lot of bashing, and may be some support too... I think it is unfair for Ujjain / Indore bound passengers on this train when someone books a ticket of BCT-RTM on Avantika... I mean, guys, you have around 30 trains (Source: IRI) for BCT-RTM, while just 1 useful train for BCT-UJN / INDB... You book a berth for RTM and you deny a berth to UJN/INDB bound person, who has no other resort except Avantika... Please show some sense of responsibility....

1. Agreed there are many trains from Mumbai to Ratlam but all are long distance trains (none of them is specially dedicated mumbai ratlam train) so if you book from bct to rtm you will end up in RSWL or PQWL so people generally book for a higher destination which will fal in GN quota. For other trains GN quota starts from longer distance than 12961 in which GN starts from UJN hence booking in 12961 is cheaper than booking in GN quota in other long distance trains (eg golden temple, awadh etc)
2. It has a very convenient time to travel from Bct to RTM
