ErArani^~ 9264 blog postsTo travel with family, from GD to NDLS, post Diwali in 1A, should I prefer 12555 or Vaishali? The later may be less clean, crowdy, late but having pantry and late arrival at NDLS. Also, chance of getting coupe is more. Suggestions welcome.

Go with Gd but don't expect maintenance to be top notch as NER/GKP maintenance has gone down significantly.Regarding food Irctc vendors are present so it is easily available but you may face problem to find Rail Neer in train so better take it.
Vendors are there, no worries about food, but as the other user said about water bottles, yes that’s an issue.
I’ll also be taking 12555 from GD-NDLS on the next day of Diwali!

1A so both won't have much difference with cleanliness. So with PC service, i will suggest for Vaishali , also more 1A seats means higher chance of CNF.
So, on board food is available from vendors, but not water bottle in GD
