It is understood that there was a line from Tirupattur to Rayakottai via Krishnagiri and subsequently dismantled. It would be better to explore new line on those old alignments.
Also, a new line from Hosur/Anekal to Malur (30 kms) will prove beneficial. Hosur can get connected to Chennai without going through Bangalore.
